Work on it a bit more, but I'd say you are indeed getting there.
First one has some weird arms and body, but the angle is good.
Second one is good, indeed.
Idea I would have: Shading. Uh, don't ask me, I learned as I went, and don't know how I got there.

you need to fix the foot of the 2nd image
it looks like her leg
The first image seemed pretty good just fix
the neck and the fingers and

Shadows, adding depth to pictures.
Look at the black and white stuff in my gallery. The topic should still be up. That's shading. It adds a LOT of depth to a picture.
